This day will be devoted to learning practices that cultivate positive emotions. We will learn meditations to help us develop and strengthen kindness and compassion towards ourselves, people in our lives, and the larger world. We will explore what gets in the way of self-compassion-including self-criticism and self-judgment, learn tools to work with it, and find ways to develop more kindness in our interactions and our lives. Science has shown that you can actually change your brain through mindfulness and the cultivation of positive emotional states.

The day will include sitting and walking meditations, silent periods, exercises, lecture, and discussions.

This is an educational program not a clinical treatment.
